Looking for a quick, family-friendly Christmas appetizer? This Two-Flavor Puff Pastry Christmas Tree is fun to make, irresistibly savory, and beautifully festive. Ingredients:
2 puff pastry sheets
200g grated cheese
2 slices of ham
Red pesto
Mustard (optional)
Directions:
Step 1: Place a sheet of MyBaking by MyFibres on your workplace.
Step 2: On one half of the first puff pastry sheet, add the slices of ham and generously sprinkle grated cheese. You can add a touch of mustard if you like an extra kick!
Step 3: On the other half, spread a thin layer of red pesto.
Step 4: Cover everything with the second puff pastry sheet and cut out a Christmas tree shape (see how we did it on our video!).
Step 5: Cut the branches on both sides and gently twist them.
Step 6: Don't throw anything away. Use the remaining dough to create mini savory bites and to cut out a star for the top.
step 7: Bake at 180°C for 35 minutes. Thanks to MyBaking's non-sticking properties, your tree will lift off effortlessly.
Step 8: Remove from the oven, admire the beautifully golden layers, and enjoy it warm with your loved ones!
